Kyalami New Home
Set in the sought-after horsey suburb of Kyalami, this new build house for a client who spends half the year here and half the year in New York. We designed the house and its interiors to make the most of the lovely setting and view towards the west. High end finishes, including imported light fittings, were combined with a relaxed design aesthetic to make this into an inviting home.
Contemporary Farm Style Interior

Suikerbosrand House
A new farm house for a down-scaling couple. We made use of warm, natural materials to blend into the landscape, and passive solar design means that this house stays at 16 degrees inside during freezing -5 degrees winter weather. Standard construction methods were applied to make this house not only ecologically, but also economically sustainable.
Inner-city Heritage Penthouse 2
The second of two inner-city heritage penthouses we renovated for short term rentals. The smaller of the two, this apartment was converted into a compact 2-bedroom. Conceptualised as a romantic retreat, this apartment has a touch of glamorous Paris, with decadent details and a generous rooftop garden.
Parkhurst Heritage Home Refurbishment
This 1936 heritage house was in a state of disrepair when the owners bought it. It had gorgeous original features, such as pressed steel ceilings and timber floors, but the layout was made up of separate rooms, mostly facing south. We emphasised the heritage features by adding feature colours to them, opened up and swapped around the living spaces, and kept the contemporary additions in contrast with the original features.
Inner-city Heritage Penthouse 1
The first of two inner-city heritage penthouses we renovated for short term rentals. The largest of the two, this apartment was converted from a one-bedroom to a four-bedroom apartment. Simple finishes and natural materials lend it a contemporary yet homely feel. It’s crowning glory is a large roof terrace complete with jacuzzi and life-size chess set.
Rand Club Co-working Space Interior
Refurbishment of disused office spaces in the historic Rand Club into more a more contemporary co-working space, whilst remaining respectful of the beautiful heritage building. In collaboration with Brian McKechnie.
Linden Farmhouse
Adjacent to a Linden heritage farmhouse, this new starter home for a young couple will be sympathetic towards the original house in material and colour, while adding a contemporary edge with the use of simple, elegant detailing. To keep costs low, the design makes use of standard construction and passive solar design.
Sculpture House Additions
Additions and alterations to the award-winning Sculpture House in Hyde Park, in conjunction with the original architects, Slee + Co.
Roedean School Design and Technology Centre Refresh
Updating of this 1980s building with new finishes and lighting for the robotics and other labs, cafeteria and tuck shop.
Bright Boskruin Home Interior
Warm Minimalism. This light, bright interior provided an escape from the clients’ previous dark and 1970s-styled house. Oak, marble and scribing details add warmth to this space.
Bloom Coffee Shop Interior Design
A light and contemporary alternative to the typical hipster style coffee shops. The design and the brand work hand-in-hand to lend a fresh and inviting air to the shop. Thousands of dowels are suspended from the feature ceiling, and marble tops and textured wallpaper add a touch of luxury.
Steel Frame Dullstroom House
Barn-style house in Walkersons Estate using a steel A-frame, for a client who owns a steel frame manufacturing company. The house is designed to make the best of the site views, and allows for generous spaces in the living areas and more enclosed spaces in the warm bedroom wing. Technical assistance from TLA.
